Afterschool
Program

Work directly with 3rd and 4th grade children, helping them improve reading, learning and social skills. By partnering with ACE, you’ll play a key role in shaping young learners’ futures while gaining valuable experience for your medical career.

Koko Kafe 

  KoKo Kafe is a positive, relaxed, and non-intimidating experience that will focus on tutoring Math and Reading/Writing in children in grades K-12. All session take place at The Oleander's on Broadway.

NICU Reading Program

  The NICU Reading Program is a volunteer initiative where students read to infants in the NICU to support early neurocognitive development, language exposure, and emotional comfort.

NICU Cuddle Program

  The NICU Cuddle Program is a pilot program that is studying the effects nurturing touch and therapeutic holding on the growth, development and comfort of hospitalized infants. 



Please note: this program requires a one-year commitment.

SMART
Family
Literacy

 Work directly with children from pre-K through second grade with SMART Family Literacy's SMART Heart Gardens. Volunteers make a big difference in language and learning by being caring adults engaging in conversation while gardening. By partnering with SMART Family Literacy, you’ll play a key role in shaping young learners’ futures while gaining valuable experience for your medical career.
