This unique experience allows medical students to actively engage in the education and development of high school students with disabilities. Through a partnership with Ball High School, UTMB students will support classroom educators by facilitating meaningful interactions and adaptive learning activities. This collaboration provides future healthcare professionals with valuable exposure to inclusive education, disability advocacy, and person-centered communication—enhancing their ability to serve individuals with diverse needs.

 Two opportunities to serve: 

1. Thursday afternoons - Join UTMB Occupational Therapy faculty and students in leading activity groups.

 2.The 2nd and 4th Wednesday morning of every month - You may be helping with morning Sunshine activities or helping with a community outing at Catholic Charities to support members in community service projects.
